A judge has sentenced a man who shot and killed his ex-girlfriend to life in prison.
The Washoe County District Attorney's Office says Malik Coleman waited inside 18-year-old Janaya Baker's apartment for more than two hours before shooting her when she got home from work.
Two weeks before the shooting, they had broken up, and Baker had asked to have Coleman's name removed from the rental agreement for their apartment.
Coleman will be eligible for parole after 28 years in prison.
