Dancing in the Streets 2025

MidTown Reno’s biggest event of the year returns next weekend as “Dancing in the Streets” takes over the district with a free, family-friendly street festival.

The event will be held Saturday, July 12, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

It will feature nine stages of live music, more than 100 vendors, live mural painting, public art displays, dance and art lessons, roller skating, and zones designed for both children and adults, including a Kids Zone and Relaxation Lounge.

“This is our biggest event yet, and we’re excited to bring the community together for an unforgettable weekend,” organizers said in a release.

Musical stages will span genres from jazz and rock to Afrobeats, EDM, Latino, country and more. Organizers say this year also introduces a new ‘90s/2000s stage.

The weekend kicks off Friday night with the first-ever “Glowing in the Streets 5K,” a nighttime fun run through MidTown. Participants can enjoy music along the route, glow batons, and LED-lit awards. The race starts and ends at Parlay 6 Brewing Company. Registration is available at renomidtown.com/glowinginthestreets.

While the main event is free to attend, additional options are available at a cost for those looking to upgrade their experience. These include access to the VIP Experience Lounge and the “Double Down and Dance” package.

A sticker design contest for children is open through June 15, with the winning artwork handed out at the event.

Organizers are also still accepting sponsors, including for unique opportunities like the “Brand the Can” porta potty sponsorship and branded cooling lounges.

The event is organized by MidTown Reno in partnership with Mari Chuys, Noble Pie Parlor, Pinon Bottle, The Emerson, Sol Up, South Virginia Plaza, Raffy Taffy Environmental Group, NV Fine Arts, El Adobe, Living Stones Church and Reno Public Market.

Sponsors include Sol Up, Parlay 6 Brewery, HoneyPot Social, Reno Tahoe Visitor Center, City of Reno, Reno Media Group, Powershift by NV Energy, XOXO Weddings, Marked Studios and PBS Reno.
