Search teams have captured Randy Bauman, the minimum-security convict who walked away from Stewart Conservation Camp in Carson City on Tuesday, October 21.
Authorities say that 47-year-old Randy Bauman was arrested around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, by the Carson City Sheriff's Department and was returned to the custody of the Nevada Department of Corrections.
Bauman was reported missing during the 6 p.m. count, prompting immediate escape procedures, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.
He was admitted to the Department of Corrections on October 2 and was serving a 24-60 month sentence for burglary of a business and ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
Bauman is white, 5'10", 170 pounds, with blue eyes, a bald head, and a goatee. He has tattoo sleeves on both arms and “Breed of Hate” on his abdomen.
Authorities thanked the public for any tips that may have assisted in locating Bauman.
