The Nevada Highway Patrol is participating in a Joining Forces campaign with other local law enforcement agencies this month, focused on pedestrian safety.
The campaign kicks off on Friday, September 5, and runs through September 22, according to a release from the Nevada State Police, which NHP is a division of.
The campaign is designed to remind pedestrians and drivers to be aware of each other and to share the road responsibly.
58 pedestrians died on Nevada roads between January 1 and July 31 of this year, according to the release.
