Joining Forces Campaign

Law enforcement agencies across Nevada are preparing for a coordinated campaign in the region to fight speeding in July.

A Joining Forces Speed Awareness Campaign is set to happen from July 1 to July 20, according to a release on the Fallon Police Department Facebook page.

The campaign will include police, deputies, and troopers across the state working together to increase enforcement and awareness focused on speeding during the nearly three-week period.

Speeding is one of the biggest causes of fatalities on Nevada roads, police say.

Beyond going faster than the posted speed limit, speeding can also mean driving too fast for bad weather conditions like rain, ice, and snow.

The Speed Awareness Campaign aims to increase public safety by creating highly visible patrols across Nevada.
