A former Nevada man was sentenced for possession of child pornography on Monday.

Kurtis Lee Solomon was sentenced by United States District Judge Anne R. Traum.

The DOJ says the former Fernley resident repeatedly accessed child pornography websites and viewed child sexual abuse material that included preteens and babies.

Officials say Solomon admitted to having child sexual abuse material saved to his internet browser's "favorites."

Sigal Chattah, First Assistant United States Attorney, said, "Kurtis Lee Solomon, formerly of Fernley, Nevada, was sentenced Monday by United States District Judge Anne R. Traum to time served followed by 10 years of supervised release."

Solomon had served approximately three days in custody.

This comes after Solomon was arrested on April 17, 2022, and remained in custody until April 19, 2022, and was eventually convicted in December 2024.

This case was investigated by the Department of Homeland Security Investigations with help from the Sparks Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
