The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County has released new information regarding the crash between a bus and truck that happened Sunday night, August 25.
According to security camera footage from the RTC’s Fourth Street Station, a truck ran through the red light striking the RTC bus. Reno Police Department and Reno Fire Department responded to the incident.
The report indicates that two people were treated at the scene, with both drivers needing hospitalization.
The bus operator has been released from the hospital.
The Reno Police Department is actively investigating the incident.

Reno Police and Reno Fire are on scene of a crash involving a truck and an RTC bus near the Bowling Stadium and Bus Station downtown.
Five people were taken to the hospital according to our crew on scene. The extent of their injuries is not yet known.
The five taken included the driver of the pickup truck and four people on the bus.
