Washoe County Regional Parks & Open Space will host a public event Saturday morning at the Link Piazzo Dog Park, where the memorial will be introduced.
As part of the tribute, community members are encouraged to bring a collar, leash, or nametag to leave at the site. Ashes are not permitted.
The event will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, at Hidden Valley Park, located at 4740 Parkway Drive in Reno.
The memorial will be unveiled during a celebration in remembrance of Guy Clifton, described by organizers as a cherished friend of the park and a well-known dog lover.
The installation is designed to offer a quiet space for visitors to remember their pets.
