Paid parking has officially opened up at Chimney Beach and Secret Harbor lots in Lake Tahoe.
Tahoe Transportation District says parking at both lots cost $12 and visitors can park every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with no time limit during operating hours.
Overnight parking is not allowed.
TTD says revenue generated from the parking will be reinvested into the SR 28 corridor which it expects to construction a restroom facility and another amenities at the Chimeny Beach trailhead parking areas this summer.Â
