Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed by a pickup truck after walking in a crosswalk in Sun Valley last month.Â
NHP says 75-year-old Daysi Montoya-Salazar of Reno was walking eastbound in the crosswalk when the driver of a Dodge Ram failed to yield and hit her, while trying to turn left from East 5th Avenue to Sun Valley Blvd.
NHP says Montoya-Salazar was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died of her injuries.
They say the driver of the Ram stayed on scene and is cooperating with law enforcement.

A pedestrian has died following a crash in Sun Valley.
It happened in the area of Sun Valley Boulevard and Fifth Avenue just before 2:30 p.m., according to a spokesperson with the Nevada State Police.
According to a preliminary investigation, a vehicle was making a left-hand turn onto Sun Valley Boulevard from Fifth Avenue and hit a woman crossing Sun Valley Boulevard.
The woman was taken to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.
The driver of the car remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Southbound lanes of Sun Valley Boulevard were closed at Fifth Avenue for hours after the crash, but have since reopened.
