The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe says ICE will not conduct operations on tribal lands.
The announcement comes as tribal chairmen from the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe and the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony met with the Nevada ICE supervisory agent.
Officials say the meeting was to educate the federal and state agencies on the sovereignty that tribal members share - and to make sure the agencies are aware of all additions to tribal land over the years.
