The Reno City Council has approved a $1.03 billion tentative budget for fiscal year 2025/2026.
The budget includes $36 million in funding for revitalization projects citywide.
The only change to the proposed budget was to raise the cost of land use appeal fees from $500 to $1,200 in order to match what is charged by Washoe County.
Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve said the council will work on setting up a process to waive that fee for people who can't afford it.
