The Reno Fire Department is warning of a scam in the area involving someone claiming to be part of the “Washoe Firefighters Association.”
This person is calling people and asking for money, according to a post on the RFD Facebook page.
"Not only is there no 'Washoe Firefighters Association,' the Reno Fire Department would never reach out to you asking for monetary donations or payment," said the RFD in their post.
Anyone receiving one of these calls is asked to disregard it.
