18-year old Leonardo Lemos of Reno was arrested Thursday, August 22 by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in charges related to the possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

In July, the task force received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding the upload of CASM to Snapchat. The uploads were traced to an address in Reno.

The force investigated the tip and determined that all of the uploads came from the same house.

A search warrant was served at the house, which belonged to Lemos. During the search, Lemos' cell phone was seized, and he was interviewed.

A search warrant was also issued for Lemos' Snapchat account, and the results confirmed the data provided by the original tip.

The Northern Nevada Cyber Center did an analysis of Lemos' cell phone and found additional evidence, which led to the arrest.

Lemos is being held at the Washoe County Detention Facility on felony charges of possessions of visual pornography of a person under 16 and use of the internet to to control visual pornography of a person under 16.
