Reno Police investigators arrested a man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant related to an animal cruelty investigation.
On July 17, the Reno Police Department was contacted by Washoe County Animal Control regarding a person under investigation for allegedly adopting kittens and killing them on video.
The suspect was recently arrested in San Francisco in connection with this investigation before returning to the Reno area.
A warrant was issued after he failed to appear in court.
Thursday, police got word that a man matching the suspect's description had returned to his home in Reno.
Officers used a loudspeaker and attempted to contact the suspect by phone without success. Officers then entered the home and found the suspect inside.
William Ohlson was arrested without incident. He faces the following charges:
- Felony warrant for animal cruelty
- Two misdemeanor warrants
