The Reno Police Department is mourning the loss of Bob, a retired explosive detection K9.
Bob worked alongside his handler, Officer Jason Morgan, as part of the regional Consolidated Bomb Squad.
Reno Police say Bob served the Northern Nevada community through numerous deployments, special events, and requests for assistance and his work helped provide an added layer of safety for the public, first responders, and fellow law enforcement officers throughout the region.
Bob retired in February 2021 and went home with Morgan and his family where he enjoyed life on the family's property in Tennessee.
The department says Bob was a valued member of both the Reno Police Department and the Northern Nevada community.
Reno police are extending their condolences to Morgan and his family and thanking Bob for his years of service and companionship.
