The Reno-Tahoe International Airport expects about 16,000 people to travel into and out of the area starting this Friday.
They expect their busiest travel days to be March 20th, March 23rd, March 26th and 27th, and March 30th.
They’re encouraging travelers to arrive at least two hours early during the busiest days, and consider arranging a ride to the airport to avoid having to park there.
Uber and Lyft are offering vouchers for travelers now through April 6th, using the promo code RNOSpring26.
If you do plan to park at the airport, they recommend reserving a spot in airport garage. Also be prepared to park in the overflow lot if the main garage is full.
While the airport say they are not yet experiencing any impacts to TSA wait times due to the government shutdown and its impact on the Department of Homeland Security, they encourage passengers to arrive early and check with their airlines before leaving for the airport.
Several airlines are offering nonstop services to spring break destinations including New York City, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Houston and Dallas.
