A corrective maintenance project will begin on Monday, September 16, for Somersett Parkway in west Reno.
The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County and Sierra Nevada Construction are beginning work to resurface Somersett Parkway between Mae Anne Avenue and Del Webb Parkway.
Crews will close westbound travel on Somersett Parkway for the first phase of the project, starting Monday and going through the week of September 23.
During this phase, traffic on Somersett will be limited to the eastbound direction.
A detour will be in place from Mae Anne Avenue to Del Webb Parkway.
Officials ask to please follow instructions from construction crews during the detours.
Emergency vehicles will always have right of way through the construction area, if needed.
