Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded to a rollover crash on a remote stretch of highway in Washoe County, where cattle ended up blocking the road on Tuesday afternoon.

Preliminary details from NHP indicate a single vehicle rolled over on SR-447 at Mile Marker 19 near Nixon.

Troopers said cattle were potentially injured, with some animals walking around in the roadway and creating a traffic hazard.

It is unknown how the cattle are involved in the crash, whether they were in the vehicle or in the roadway.

A crew is on the way to the scene, and additional details are expected as troopers continue to assess the situation.

Drivers traveling through the area should be alert for animals in the roadway as the response continues.
