RTC will close off lanes in the area of Mill Street and Kietzke Lane for the construction of a new traffic signal.

They say drivers could see some traffic signals flashing red in the area during the work at night.

Construction will be temporarily stopped for the Thanksgiving holiday through Sunday.

Crews continue to work on underground utility improvements, new sidewalks and a new retaining wall on the north side of Mill Street near Port of Subs.

Redwood Place is currently closed for utility installation.

The project will include improvements on Mill Street from 300 feet west of Kietzke Lane to Terminal Way, approximately 0.75 miles in total length.

UPDATE - OCT. 17

Construction crews continue the construction of Mill Street that started last month.

RTC says they're working on underground utility improvements, new sidewalks, and a new retaining wall on the north side of Mill Street near Port of Subs.

Officials are also saying lane closures will take place sporadically, with at least one paved lane that will be open in each direction, with left turn lanes at all signalized intersections.

The speed limit on Mill Street throughout the work zone is also reduced to 30 mph 24/7 for the safety of workers and the community, which may cause brief delays, according to RTC.

Service may be temporarily impacted for the RTC Ride Bus route within the project area. Detours or changes to bus stop locations will be given at the RTC website.

RTC also says Side Street access at Mill Street from either Redwood Place or Louise Street may be closed for utility installation. RTC asks drivers to use detours.
