Rye Patch Reservoir
Nevada State Parks has placed Rye Patch Reservoir under a Harmful Algal Bloom Watch Advisory due to possible Harmful Algae Bloom.

Authorities say visual assessments have indicated a possible bloom.

Water tests are currently being conducted by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP). These toxic algae can cause serious health issues for humans and animals.

If you see water that looks discolored or smells bad, stay away.

Pets should be kept away from all water bodies under a HAB advisory.

If you see any signs of harmful algae blooms, even if you're not entirely sure if it's actually algae, make sure to stay away from it and report it through this link here.
