Storey County Health & Community Services will be hosting a technology and cybersecurity presentation next week.
A seminar, titled "How to spot and stop scams!" will be held on Tuesday, July 22 starting at 12:30 p.m. at the Virginia City Senior Center at 100 Mill Street in Virginia City.
The event is being held in partnership with Community Chest Inc. and the Storey County Sheriff's Office.
Attendees can expect to learn about common online and phone scams, how to protect your devices and personal information, and what to do if you've been targeted.
