Drivers are being urged to find alternate routes after a crash shut down all southbound lanes of US 395 near the US 50 eastbound interchange on Thursday morning.
According to the Nevada Department of Transportation website, all lanes in the area are blocked, and traffic is being diverted while crews clear the scene.
Nevada Highway Patrol reports the crash was called in at 9:07 a.m. It involves a single semi-truck that rolled onto its side and is currently blocking US 395 at US 50.
One person was transported from the scene with what officials are describing as non-life-threatening injuries.
NHP advises that the southbound lanes of US 395 at US 50 remain completely closed, and the highway is expected to stay shut down for approximately one to two more hours.
Crews are currently unloading the truck’s cargo by hand to safely upright the semi-truck and reopen the roadway.
