Share Your Christmas is almost upon us, just hours away, and the biggest location will again be at the Grand Sierra Resort.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada has been participating in the event for all 33 years it's been happening.
Feeding 160,000 people every month, they depend on this food drive every year.
"We are expecting these shelves right behind me to be pretty full after the event, and it's really great to see it," said Jocelyn Lantrip, Director of Marketing for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
Lantrip says that between all four locations last year, they collected 850,000 meals. This year, they're hoping for a million.
"Everybody thinks that maybe we're getting a little aggressive, but there's that much need, and there's that much giving," said Lantrip.
The Food Bank will be accepting a wide range of non-perishable goods, specifically foods that can create nutritious meals, such as canned fruits, vegetables, and proteins.
This includes things like soups, hearty stews, chili, and pasta.
And if you're unable to provide food, Lantrip says monetary donations will make a huge impact as well.
Corwin Auto Group will triple-match financial donations to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada at the Grand Sierra Resort location up to $100,000.
Share Your Christmas at the GSR is accepting more than just food and money. The Salvation Army will also be hosting its Angel Tree program, collecting toys for children.
"We were close to 400 toys last year that we got from that event. So, we're excited, hoping we can hit that or more," said Major Randy Hartt, Northern Nevada coordinator, Salvation Army.
Major Hartt says he looks forward to Share Your Christmas every year because of how festive and interactive the entire event is.
"It reminds you of what Christmas is really all about, which is service above self and people giving to those who are less fortunate," he said.
