Six men were arrested on sex crimes charges as part of a two-day-long prostitution sting conducted by the Human Exploitation and Trafficking unit.
The operation was conducted on December 18 and 19 at a property in Reno, according to a release from the Reno Police Department.
The HEAT unit comprises detectives from the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department, and the Washoe County School District Police Department.
One of the six men arrested is on lifetime supervision through Parole and Probation due to prior sex crimes against children.
A list of those arrested in the sting can be found below.
- Michael Wilson, 57, was arrested for soliciting a child for prostitution and attempted abuse of a child for sexual exploitation.
- David McComb, 36, was arrested on charges including lure a child with a computer for sex, attempted statutory sexual seduction, attempted abuse of a child for sexual exploitation, and attempt to use a child for sexual portrayal.
- Kyle Steenfott, 38, was arrested for lure a child with a computer for sex, attempted statutory sexual seduction, and attempted abuse of a child for sexual exploitation.
- Harald Kothleitner, 61, was arrested for soliciting a child for prostitution and attempted abuse of a child for sexual exploitation.
- Nathan Peterson, 45, was arrested on charges of lure a child with a computer for sex, attempted statutory sexual seduction, attempted abuse of a child for sexual exploitation, attempt to use a child for sexual portrayal, and a parole and probation hold.
- Thomas Cassidy, 72, was arrested for soliciting a child for prostitution and attempted abuse of a child for sexual exploitation.
