A pedestrian pathway at Sparks Boulevard, between Prater Way and O’Callaghan, near Springland Drive, will be temporarily closed as crews continue to work.
Beginning Monday January, January 19, through approximately two months, the pathway will be closed, according to the Regional Transportation Commission (RTC).
RTC says a detour will be available for pedestrians along Pullman Drive to Union Street, then from Union Street to O’Callaghan and Springland Drive.
“Safety doesn’t take a day off,” said Garrett Rodgers, RTC Project Manager. “This detour is essential to keep pedestrians out of active construction areas and ensure everyone gets where they’re going safely. We’re grateful for the community’s understanding as we continue to deliver this project.”
RTC urges pedestrians and commuters to allow extra time when traveling through the area and to follow all signs for their safety.
