The Sparks Library is hosting a scam prevention talk Tuesday as part of Older Americans Month.
The 11:00 a.m. free event will happen at the library, located at 1125 12th Street in Sparks.
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) will be there to talk about the current trends among active scams, and will break down the riskiest scams by age group. They also plan to provide tips that people can use to avoid most scams.
Organizers say that if you're not able to make it to the scam prevention talk this week, the City of Reno and AARP Nevada will be hosting a "Scam Jam Fraud Prevention Fair" on May 29th at the McKinley Arts & Culture Center in Reno.
