A Sparks man will spend 23 years in prison for sexually abusing four Native American children on the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony and two other children. 

The DOJ says from 2004 until 2022, Angel Fernandez engaged in the sexual abuse of multiple children and continued to abuse some of the victims after they reached 16 years of age.

Fernandez pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual abuse of a minor within Indian Country and two counts of abusive sexual contact within Indian Country.

Following his release from imprisonment, the federal Court ordered that he serve 15 years of supervised release and register as a sex offender.
