A man has been identified after being arrested in an incident with a gun outside of a business in Sparks on Friday morning.
It happened around 11:15 a.m. on Greg Street, according to a release from the Sparks Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a man, later identified as John Patrick Lopes, acting erratically and waving a gun in the air.
Officers arrived and spoke with the person who reported the incident, who told them Lopes pointed a black handgun at several employees and attempted to enter the locked business.
Lopes was found in a vehicle and taken into custody without incident.
The handgun was found and determined to be a pneumatic revolver.
Lopes was booked on charges including two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, ex-felon in possession of a firearm, and resisting a public officer.
