AÂ Texas man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of production of child pornography and been sentenced in a case involving two girls from Storey County.
Shyncere Jefferson, 18, of Abeline, Texas, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his crime, according to a release from the Storey County Sheriff's Office.
Jefferson pleaded guilty to the production of child pornography on April 25.
On August 26 of last year, the SCSO launched an investigation into a man having inappropriate conversations with two juvenile girls, aged 12 and 13.
Detectives performed a forensic download of the girls' cell phone and discovered multiple communications of a sexual nature between the girls and Jefferson, as well as several graphic sexual photos and videos.
Detectives conducted a joint investigation with the FBI in Abeline.
On October 28 of last year, the FBI carried out a search warrant and arrested Jefferson.
