Two people were arrested, and six were cited as part of a prostitution sting targeting Johns by the Regional Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit.

Detectives with HEAT conducted an enforcement operation targeting people seeking to buy sex from adults.

Officers from the Reno Police Department Mobile Engagement Team assisted with the operation.

Ultimately, six people were cited for soliciting prostitution, while two were arrested for soliciting, as well as outstanding warrants and registration violations.

The two suspects arrested were:

  • Adam Sanders, 35 years old – Soliciting Prostitution; Possession of Schedule 1 Controlled Substance; Failure to Appear Warrant
  • James Mason, 61 years old – Possession of Schedule 1 Controlled Substance; Parole Violation; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Registration Violation

The six suspects cited were:

  • Walter Williams, 62 years old– Soliciting Prostitution
  • Edgardo Gomez-Rodriguez, 32 years old – Soliciting Prostitution
  • Shahnebil Yousuf, 28 years old– Soliciting Prostitution
  • Oscar Cortes-Gutierrez, 36 years old– Soliciting Prostitution
  • Mark Lamey, 62 years old– Soliciting Prostitution
  • Carlos Castedo-Aguilera, 20 years old– Soliciting Prostitution

HEAT
