The E. L. Wiegand Fitness Center on the University of Nevada, Reno campus was temporarily closed Wednesday evening and will remain closed Thursday.
While initial posts suggested an emergency, UNR clarified the closure was caused by minor water damage from a dislodged sprinkler head.
Officials said the Fitness Center is expected to reopen on Friday with regular hours.
The John Sala Intramural Fields, which were also closed, have reopened.
Students and community members are encouraged to plan accordingly while repairs are underway.
