The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner's Office has released the identity of the person killed in the Saturday night crash.
12-year old Venicio Gudino of Reno was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is still ongoing with the Reno Police Department.
Update (6/1/2025, 1:59 p.m.):
The Reno Police Department (RPD) says the person who died in Saturday night's crash had been riding a motorcycle. Their identity will not be released until the next of kin is notified.
The driver of the car involved in the crash stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
RPD does not believe that impairment was a factor in this crash.

A fatal crash reportedly involving a pedestrian is shutting down an intersection in Lemmon Valley tonight.
Reno Police Department and REMSA personnel are on the scene of a crash at the intersection of Military Road and Convair Way in Lemmon Valley.
At the moment, Military Road and Convair Way are both blocked to traffic from all directions at the intersection.
According to an officer with Reno Police, the pedestrian who was hit was deceased when first responders arrived on the scene.
The Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the ongoing investigation.
