Volunteers spent the day giving back to nature during the 31st annual Truckee River Day and Fair.

The Truckee River Watershed Council organized the event, bringing people together to help restore meadows, creeks and forests throughout the Truckee River watershed.

At Bear Creek Meadow, volunteers worked to redirect water that gets diverted by nearby roadways, helping it flow back into the surrounding landscape to support local vegetation.
