43 percent of their cats have already gone through the stray hold period and are available to be transferred to a rescue partner. 

If you're looking to adopt, there are multiple shelters and rescue groups to choose from. 

If you are an approved rescue partner, they say to consider transferring some of its available cats.

If you have a missing cat, they say to look online for a missing animal or show up in person.
