Washoe County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team responded to an injured hiker on the Hunter Creek Trail in southwest Reno.
This happened just a day after search and rescue teams were called to help a hiker on the Tahoe Rim Trail.
Search and Rescue personnel made contact with a hiker by phone and learned she was experiencing a medical condition that would prevent her from finishing her hike.
WCSAR teams got to her location, about two miles up the trail, and worked alongside REMSA to secure her in a mobile gurney and take her out of the backcountry.
Once they got her back to the trailhead, she was taken by REMSA for medical care.
As warmer temperatures continue into Fall, the Washoe County Sheriff's Office is reminding hikers to stay hydrated, carry appropriate gear, and prepare for changing conditions before heading out on the trails.
