Do you need a summer job? Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space is now hiring lifeguards for Bowers Pool.
Starting pay is $15.50 an hour and no experience is needed. Current certifications in Lifeguard Training, First Aid Basics, and CPR for the Professional Rescuer are required within two weeks of appointment.
Weekend and evening shifts may be required at the community pool, next to Bowers Mansion in New Washoe City, south of Reno.
Washoe County says Bowers Pool is open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. The pool will be open daily during the Washoe County School District summer break, and only on weekends before and after that. Hours are generally 11:30am -5:30pm, but check back before the 2025 season as these hours may change.
