August 14, 2:50 p.m. update:
An active water main break continues to impact the northbound travel lanes of USA Parkway. Crews are on-scene evaluating the extent of damage and duration of closure.
Nevada State Police says they estimate reopening all lanes around 6:00 p.m. Additional closures and lane shifts be necessary to complete full repairs.
August 14, 10:58 a.m. update:
A water main break has closed the northbound lanes of USA Parkway at Sydney Drive in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. There is no estimated time for the roadway to reopen.
According to Storey County Sheriff's Office in an online post, the closure will remain in place until further notice. The office said updates will be provided when they become available.
Drivers are asked to use an alternate route and avoid the area while the closure remains in effect.
