Traner Middle School

The Washoe County School District is inviting the public to learn more about the rebuild project at Traner Middle School at a public meeting Thursday night.

The WCSD is planning to rebuild Traner Middle School as part of the 2023 Facility Modernization Plan (FMP).

This project will convert the school into a two-story school serving pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students.

In addition, Sparks Middle School will be reconstructed and students attending Traner and Sparks middle schools as well as feeder elementary schools may be rezoned. These projects are currently scheduled for completion in August 2029 and August 2030 respectively.

The community is invited to attend Thursday's public meeting to learn details about the projects, ask questions, and offer their ideas and feedback to District staff members.

The 5:30 p.m. meeting will be held inside Traner Middle School Library, at 1700 Carville Drive in Reno.

During the meeting, WCSD will share the concepts for the new schools and ask for feedback and ideas on the designs for the new schools.
