Monger and Wiebe Booking Photo Combo

A man and woman were arrested in Elko and both face drug and weapon charges.

Elko Police say the arrests were made after conducting surveillance on a house on Dotta Drive related to an ongoing investigation of drug trafficking in the larger Elko area.

Authorities say the Elko Combined Narcotics Unit (ECNU) witnessed a man leave the house and conduct what appeared to be a drug deal in a nearby parking lot.

Police say a traffic stop was then made, where the driver of the car, 48-year-old Daniel, Wiebe, of Elko was placed into police custody, while ENCU detectives served a search warrant and searched the home. 

The search happened on Monday, June 3.

During the search, they say they found they 11 firearms, over $2,000 in cash, more than 50 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, more than 300 grams of cocaine, more than 100 grams of methamphetamine, more than 20 grams of MDMA pills, and more than 30 grams of ketamine along with evidence and signs of narcotics sales.

While ECNU was conducting their search, Wiebe's fiancée, 48-year-old Heather Monger returned home and was also taken into custody after they say they found a weapon with her.

Weibe and Monger were both arrested and faces charges on numerous weapon and drug-related charges.

Weibe's bail is listed at $1,610,000.

Monger's bail is listed at $510,000.Â
