Paul Thomas Anderson has won his first Oscar for best director, and it comes for his new film “One Battle After Another.” On Sunday, the Academy honored Anderson for a sweeping political drama. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio as part of a group of activists facing shifting alliances and power struggles. The win caps more than two decades of acclaimed filmmaking.
