Authorities have charged a man with bringing an explosive device to a TSA checkpoint at an airport in Sacramento, California. The 49-year-old was wearing a scarf and latex gloves at the Sacramento International Airport on Saturday. U.S. Attorney Eric Grant says the man had an explosive device and a torch lighter in his carry-on bag. He also had a knife, scissors, an aerosol can, zip ties, and five cellphones. Bomb technicians tested the device and found it could damage a plane. The man appeared in federal court in Sacramento on Wednesday. An email seeking comment was sent to his public defender on Thursday.
