Flights across Europe were diverted or made emergency landings after being targeted by bomb threats on Thursday. Authorities report no hazardous materials found during inspections. The incidents follow earlier hoax threats this week that caused diversions and even a military escort. Over a dozen flights were targeted, including those from cities like Copenhagen and Dublin. Finnair confirmed two of its flights received threats but landed safely. Czech police were deployed to Prague’s airport for four planes after receiving explosive device threats. Searches found nothing suspicious. The threats occur amid rising geopolitical tensions in Europe.
Officials across Europe report more bomb threats against flights, following a series of hoaxes causing diversions this week. No suspicious items were found, but the threats raise concern amid other recent disruptions. French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu’s office says four new bomb threats targeted aircraft over French territory on Friday. A flight from Prague to Bucharest and another from Lisbon to Rome also received threats but landed safely. Police in Venice diverted a WizzAir flight from Prague to Rome. Authorities in Denmark and the Czech Republic are investigating threats. It's unclear who is behind the wave of hoaxes.
