Asian shares and U.S. futures are mixed following a long weekend on Wall Street. Selling of technology shares pulled benchmarks in Tokyo and Seoul lower. The U.S. dollar was trading near 162 yen. Oil prices slipped as some members of the OPEC plus group of crude exporters decided to raise their output next month. Uncertainty over supplies persists as negotiations with Iran aimed at fully reopening the Strait of Hormuz appeared to be on hold during funeral ceremonies for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Markets in the U.S. were closed on Friday, July 3, for the Independence Day holiday. This year, July 4th fell on a Saturday.
