Asian shares are mostly higher, as the market mood turned positive from the overnight rally on Wall Street. Benchmarks rose in early Tuesday trading in Sydney, Seoul, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Tokyo trading was closed for so-called Silver Week, which adds an extra national holiday to bridge two holidays to prolong the days people can take off from work. Trading resumes Thursday, after Respect for the Aged Day Wednesday. Wall Street climbed to the edge of its all-time high after oil prices eased. The S&P 500 jumped 1.5%, the Dow added 0.7%, and the Nasdaq climbed 2.3%. But oil prices rose in Asian trading.
