To help get a sweeping cryptocurrency bill across the line, President Donald Trump has agreed to new ethics provisions. On Sunday night, Republicans said Trump had agreed to a requirement to either divest or place in a blind trust any “significant” financial interest in an entity that issues cryptocurrencies. The new measures also give state attorneys general a role in enforcing the new law. That follows an earlier agreement by Trump to a provision that would bar him from issuing the type of meme coins he launched when he returned to the White House. Whether Trump's sign-off goes far enough is the most contentious issue facing the bill, which is up for a key Senate vote on Tuesday.
