Sentencing has been handed down in a Medicaid fraud case involving the owners of a Las Vegas behavioral health company.

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford announced the sentencing in a release Tuesday. In the case; Camille Funches, Rodshiekka Chester and their company Building Resilience LLC were found guilty of fraudulently billing Medicaid for services in 2020.

Each were convicted of the charge of Submitting False Claims: Medicare Fraud, which is a category "D" felony.

According to the release, Funches and Chester were sentenced to 19 to 48 months in prison, suspended, and placed on probation for a period of two years.

Another part of the convictions ordered that restitution of $1 million would be repaid to Medicaid for any money that was illegally received.
