The Regional Transportation Commission and Sierra Nevada Construction will be closing the intersection of North Sierra Street and First Street on Monday, April 1.
The closure will remain in place through Tuesday, April 2.
Southbound traffic on North Sierra Street will be able to take a detour at West Second Street. Access to the First Street parking lot will remain open from West Street, and access to the Palladio parking lot will remain open from North Virginia Street.
This closure is due to phase four of the First Street Rehabilitation Project, including the full reconstruction of the North Sierra Street and First Street intersection.
They will also be repaving First Street to Virginia Street, and traffic signals will be updated.
