A grand opening for the Northern Nevada Performing Arts Collective was held on Sunday, June 2.
The new collective hosts Sierra Nevada Ballet, the Steinway Piano Gallery and the Steinway Society Music School, Sierra School of Performing Arts, Nevada Performing Arts Medical Group, Satori Dance Wear and local visual artists.
The grand opening featured free performances along with food and drinks.
The Northern Nevada Performing Arts Collective is located at 500 East Moana Lane in Reno.
The owners of Steinway Piano Gallery say they opened the location 17 years ago and have been looking forward to joining with other local performing arts groups.
The founders of Sierra Nevada Ballet said the same thing.
"Since we founded Sierra Nevada Ballet, we wanted to do a collective. We wanted to have other arts groups join us," said Ananda Bena-Weber and Rosine Bena. "The piano students can walk right through and take their ballet and acting lessons. So, we're really excited about all the wonderful collaborations."
