Nevada State Police says one person died in a crash on Highway 50 just west of Austin, Nevada around 3:45 p.m. on October 17.
The victim's identity is not being released until their next of kin is notified.
NSP's investigation determined that a blue Hyundai Santa Fe was heading east on Highway 50, when the car crossed over the right side of the road and into the shoulder. It then hit a concrete curb and fell down a steep embankment. The Hyundai rolled over until stopping at the bottom of the embankment in a creek bed.
Two people were inside the vehicle and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital.
The driver died from their injuries several days after the crash and the passenger had non-life-threatening injuries.
